About Us
Who is ProPeru?
ProPeru Service Corps is a volunteer abroad NGO with the mission “to promote social and economic development, empower communities, and cultivate educated, compassionate global citizens.”
Established in Cuzco in 1998, ProPeru provides volunteer experiences for individuals and custom programs for schools, universities, and business groups. Volunteers participate in hands-on development work in Cuzco and nearby rural communities. They live with Peruvian host families, take Spanish immersion classes, and participate in optional adventures to Machu Picchu, Lake Titicaca, the Amazon, and other local sites.

ProPeru Volunteers
Over the past 22 years, ProPeru has worked with more than 2,000 individual volunteers and dozens of universities and groups from the U.S., Canada, Australia, and Europe.
Volunteers work on our clean burning stove project, in schools, clinics, an orphanage, a home for teen mothers, a veterinary clinic, on web-development, and microfinance. Our experienced and professional staff offer on-the-ground support 24/7. By joining ProPeru, volunteers become agents of positive change. Every program challenges its participants to grow as individuals and as members of the global community.
